This year has proven to be a year of trials with tests of faith and patience. With Covid-19 hovering over our daily lives, the unknown has become more prevalent. Through it all, I’m grateful that I have a relationship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ. With a full understanding of who God is in my life, I have discovered who I am as a person. Having realized that Jesus is the source of my strength, not only has the trials and tribulations I have faced this year strengthen me as a Christian, it has strengthened me as a mother, sister, and friend. I have come to discover the importance of sharing the goodness of the Lord everywhere I go. I no longer pick and choose when I want to let God’s light shine in me, now I shine continually. He created me to draw men unto Him. Therefore, I’m forever grateful to the Women of Empact for encouraging and supporting me to shine for God.

As I look back over 2020, the first word that God placed on my heart to describe this year is GROWTH. I mean literally every aspect of my being has been doused with this one word! One thing that I’ve known to be true normally, when something occurs in your like such as GROWTH, others usually comment and notice before you even recognize something has occurred or is occurring in your life. But the thankfulness comes in when you can recognize that GROWTH in your own life through the lens of God. I would describe GROWTH as progress, Not having already arrived to your desired destination but a continuous move forward.

Through writing these posts, with the ultimate goal of glorifying God and touching the lives of others, God has truly opened my eyes to what HE can do through those that willingly submit to Him and get what we feel are limitations, self, doubt, and fear out of the way! For this I LOVE YOU LORD!

This year has been extremely different than any other. We have experienced so much as individuals and as a whole nation. However, through it all, God remained the same. He stayed right there with us providing us protection, strength, increases, healing, and most of all love. I am so grateful that I know Him and that His love is everlasting. He has opened so many doors that not only is a blessing to me but for others as well. I am grateful to be able to share the goodness of God through the monthly Women of Empact devotions and as we transition from 2020 to 2021, I become more excited to see the great things that will transpire as we continue to follow God’s lead.

I consider it a privilege and honor to participate in the Women of Empact monthly devotions. I have been encouraged and inspired, growing in so many ways. We did not expect the life altering changes that came with 2020....BUT we can expect God to remain the same, no matter what year it is.... [Amen!] .... As 2021 is approaching, there is a song that captures the life that resonates in my heart, "You Know My Name". This phrase, you know my name, dances in my spirit because I rejoice in knowing that He knows my name! Knowing this has given me hope, joy, and peace throughout this challenging year. I am thankful that He knows my name and it is this relationship that I can count on daily to show up...knowing that just His presence alone brings what I need in any given moment and in any given year. Thank you Father, from your grateful daughter!

We are grateful for all of our readers this year! We hope that you have been encouraged and inspired by these devotions. We glorify God for this opportunity and know that with Him life's challenges are conquered. As we continue to grow in our ministry, please continue to join us in 2021. The best is yet to come!
