OPEN YOUR MOUTH AND SAY SOMETHING

Scripture

But when I speak with thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; He that hearth, let him hear; and he that forbeareth, let him forbear: for they are a rebellious house. Ezekial 3:27

Devotion

As I sit here reminiscing about all the topics discussed in The Armor of God by Priscilla Shirer, it has become evident to me that one of the most powerful truths in life is that people cannot prevent God’s plan for us. He has equipped us with everything we need to be victorious. Therefore, it is undeniably apparent that the time has come for us to open our mouths and speak the truth. Yes, we may lose a few friends and family members along the way. Yes, we may feel like an outcast at times. And yes, the truth may cause us to feel ashamed of our past decisions and it may awaken some thoughts and emotions that we would love to keep buried. However, none of it matters when it comes to for filling God’s plan for our lives. Everything we went through and will go through has been preordained by God. We have been hand- selected and given protective armor to walk in the valleys, crawl through storms and climb our mountains. It is our responsibility to draw others to God not only by living a Godly life but also by opening our mouths and telling the truth about God’s presence in our lives.

Reflection

Our pain and hardships are not designed to destroy us. They are tools that God use to build our character by refining, renewing our hearts and minds, and reshaping us to become more like Him.

Prayer

Lord, I thank you for choosing me and I humbly submit to your will for my life. As I interact with others, I ask that you continue to strength my faith that I will not allow fear to consume me causing me not to speak boldly about your love, grace, and mercy. Lord help me to boldly profess that you are the one and only God. Use me Lord as your mouthpiece, do not allow shyness and my lack of confidence get the better of me. Lord, break every chain and destroy any negativity that may try to hinder me from opening my mouth and saying something about your wonderfulness. This and all prayers, I ask in the marvelous name of Jesus the Christ, Amen.

Respectfully submitted,

Sister Tamela
